Saying Goodbye – Box of Crayons Style

by JudgeDreadz

Read an article by Michael Bungary that discusses the contents of our social media friends lists. A lot of us will find that we have few (or more) people that we have no idea who they are and some people who we once knew but don’t now.

Michael comes up with four questions that could give you insight on your friend list. They are summarised here (in a slightly different order)

  1. Who could you invite in?
    •  friendships grow gradually with persistence. However, it can start with the smallest thing. If you look back on some of your strongest friendships, did either of you see it coming?
  2. How can you invite them in?
    • it could be as trivial as inviting them to something you are already doing anyway
  3. If you could rekindle one friendship, which one would it be?
    • A good friend is hard to come by and should not be discarded simply because you both have been too busy
  4. Who should you defriend?
    • “Quantity is nothing. Quality is everything. And time spent on quantity is time lost to quality.” – nuff said.

The story of life is quicker than the blink of an eye,
The story of love is hello, goodbye
